My Background

Resume and Experience

Kristen is a classically-trained singer and pianist with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Centenary College of Louisiana, and a Master of Educational Administration degree from LSU.  She has experience in opera, music theater performing/directing/accompanying, recording studios, contemporary Christian, praise and worship, accompanying, and church music.    She served for seven years on the board of directors as Audition Chair and Private Teacher Liaison for the DFW Chapter of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and she is currently their webmaster. She is also a member of Mid-Cities Music Teachers Association (MCMTA) as the Publication Contest chairman and on the local scholarship committee, and Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA).  She has taught in public schools and as a private teacher for 32 years.  She is also a private voice teacher for the Carroll ISD and Argyle ISD Choir Programs. She still actively performs and accompanies, working with university programs and directors from all over Texas and surrounding states.
